Updates to Texting Messaging, Boomea, and Atlas
We are very pleased with the reception our text messaging application for Boomea UC client has received since our August 1st launch! Thank you for your engaged response and feedback.
With your help, we have identified a few areas requiring some extra TLC. The updates to the text messaging component (listed below) will be released on Monday, August 15. Later in the same week (of Aug 15-19), we will also be making updates to other areas of Boomea and Atlas.
About the desktop version of Boomea: Due to some of the changes listed below, the Boomea desktop application will require an update. Users will be prompted to update while they are using the app. Once the user agrees to the update (by clicking the "restart" button that appears), the application will restart. The update prompt will appear for users starting this upcoming Friday evening (August 19).
Text Messaging Updates • Updated: Inbound text message notification badge now appears when the "active" contact receives an inbound message and Boomea is inactive. • Updated: The preview functionality now works for a greater amount of file types. Preview functionality has been improved when multiple files are attached to one text message. • Updated: Search function on Messaging Contacts page is more precise. • Added: A "Loading..." notification appears in the message history panel when a channel is selected and its message history is being recalled. Boomea Updates • Updated: Phone icon in company directory has been restored • Updated: Sporadic display of the "a javascript error has occurred" banner will no longer occur. • Updated: The meeting icon spinner (when meeting is in-progress, but user is in another Boomea application) has been centered. • Updated: The spellcheck feature in Boomea desktop application has been updated. When the desired spelling is selected, the word will change. • Updated: The "read more" notification in the Chat channel panel has been centered. Atlas Updates • Updated: In all scenarios, the tax button now provides an estimate that will match the tax total in a quote.
